The Prince was disguised as Betty Burke, an Irish spinning maid. They set sail in a small boat from Benbecula on 27th June 1746, not to the mainland but Skye, landing in Kilmuir at what is today called Rudha Phrionnsa (Prince’s Point).
Betty’s Lookout is a perfect family cottage with a Hot Tub surrounded by majestic views out to sea and the Outer Hebrides. It’s set in a place with spectacular views and boasts a king-sized bedroom and a second bedroom with designed bunk beds.
